Free market Capitalism is being swallowed up in part into the Government/corporatocracy chimera known as Fascism. Like the meme of the serpent swallowing its own tail, or tale.....believing its own lies which poison it, etc.etc. spawning a new generation of doom loops, rolling down the slippery slope to the inevitable crash when colliding with reality.
The Medical/pharmaceutical corporatocracy is an example of this. Once you sign onto this as a true camp follower, the pharmaceuticals they sell you as salvation for what ails you comes with a whole slew of side effects and new symptoms which show up either immediately or down the road, which will be given new diagnoses and treatments, etc. etc For which you will get new symptoms and side effects in addition to the ones you already have.
And so on. You can call this the Doom Loop of Chronic Illness and observe how it regresses you. Until it either uses you or your insurance up first.
So gratifying to read your comment, Catherine. Yes, the medical/pharmaceutical (I would suggest adding 'government', as in CDC, nationalized health care...) is a doom loop I had not thought of. Excellent example.

I understand that Google is actually looking for a new symbol or logo for AI itself. Now that you mention it the image of the serpent swallowing its own tale, or hype, would be a perfect visual representation of what it actually is: the. Doomloop death spiral.
What the plane enters when it loses contact with reality and literally can no longer tell the critical difference between "UP" and "DOWN"
