Intolerant minorities always displace tolerant majorities.

Well said!

I think it is good that we keep track of these states communist goals. It is good to keep score on this because a lot of people don't know that a lot of aspects of our current system were the Express desires of communists.

The problem with conservatism is that it favors the status quo, thus it never can make the country *more* right-wing, so the few times leftists are in charge they ratched up the leftism; a left-wing trajectory punctuated by pauses.

You're right. Responding to the left's latest outrage and trying to keep things the way they is not going to be enough.

Another well researched and written post. Part of the reason that the lefties (socialists) have gained so much ground is that their message is seductive (free money) and the left controlled educational system has dumbed down voters for decades.

Thanks, Jim, and yes the promise of the left to redistribute the money of people who earned it to the people who did not is another big reason for the left's success. And the control of education, too.

Expand full comment

They don't have to redistribute the "money" of people who earned it. Not since they took over via the 5th plank of the Communist Manifesto in 1913.

"The Federal Government, with the cooperation of the Federal Reserve, has the inherent power to create money--almost any amount of it."

~ The National Debt, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, p. 8

ALMOST? Why only ALMOST? What keeps them from creating ALL they want? You? Me? Your dog? A full moon?

Federal Reserve Notes are not federal, represent no monetary reserves and no longer conform to the definition of notes. Failing to state who, will pay what, when or to whom - they ceased to be legal tender notes, (offers of money) almost 60 years ago. They are in fact instruments of legalized THEFT.

"...Keynes argues that inflation is a 'method of taxation' which the government uses to 'secure the command over real resources, resources just as real as those obtained by [ordinary] taxation'. 'What is raised by printing notes, ' he writes, is just as much taken from the public as is a beer duty or an income tax.' "

- 1980 Annual Report, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, pg 10

"All the paper money issued today is Federal Reserve notes. The real backing for the nation's money is faith in the strength, soundness and stability of the American economy."

~ The Hats the Federal Reserve Wears, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, pg 4

Faith is what backs our monetary system. YOUR faith. Do you still have faith?

"When plunder has become a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it."

~ Frederic Bastiat in "The Law"

"Lenin is said to have declared that the best way to destroy the capitalist system was to debauch the currency. By a continuing process of inflation,

governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens."

~ 1980 Annual Report, Federal Reserve

Bank of Richmond, pg 6

Isn't confiscation of the wealth of the citizens a nice way of saying STEALING?

"Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience." ~ John Locke (1690)

If the money you earn has no value and you are forced through fiat paper legislation to take it for your labor, are you not having your property (labor) destroyed and are you not being reduced to nothing but slavery? Is not the state at war with the people?

5th Plank Communist Manifesto: Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.

The Federal Reserve System, created by the Federal Reserve Act of Congress in 1913, is indeed such a “national bank” and it politically manipulates interest rates and holds a monopoly on legal counterfeiting in the United States. This is exactly what Marx had in mind and completely fulfills this plank, another major socialist objective. Yet, most Americans naively believe the U.S. of A. is far from a Marxist or socialist nation.

"The writers of the constitution knew exactly what they were doing when they wrote in Article I Section 10 paragraph 1 'No state shall... make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts. ' People able to barter with gold and silver coin control government and are free. Loss of the right to trade in gold and silver coin enslaves people to the creators of psychological 'money.'":

All very true. But I think that taxation, inflation, and money creation are all means of redististributing wealth, i.e. the "wealth" meaning 'goods' in the sense of 'the wealth of nations.

"Keynes argues that inflation is a 'method of taxation'" So are inflation, and money creation. Why does the government tax us when it can pay all its bills with money it creates? It's all the same thing really. Government gives leftists, including themselves, the power to buy what productive people produce, while the leftists produce nothing of value themselves.

That's what it all comes down to: Legal theft. A kleptocracy.

Thanks for posting most of the communist goals, the more out there the better. I think it was not exactly that the left took control of media but that the freedom oriented sources withered away. Many cities once had two or more major papers with differing views, but only the left ones seem to remain. Things seem to be shifting some with the internet with guys like you and me, but of course attempts are made to control it. I think the “upper classes” are basically communists since to them it’s just the way things should be, and they make up most of the decision makers. I spent my working life in academia at a first class nuclear physics lab, and the mind set in academia is kind of a cozy we are supported by bureaucracy mindset and we deserve it. Two types of academics, those who come from the intelligencia and look down on the rest of humanity, and those who do work that requires results. Does the bridge you designed remain standing? (Physicists often come from middle of nowhere and are not usually impressed by the thoughts of academics, but my bias is showing.). Great article, we need to understand it. In the meantime make woke jokes and laugh at leftists.

Yes, at least that's fun. And it probably works.

Yes the control of the media is key, a long with education. Honestly the media, education, the government, and religion are the parts of society that tells society what to do.

The Right did not win 50% of elections. Right wing platitude candidates won half the time.

Look at the list of left wing demands above. They are SPECIFIC. Compare that to right wing platitudes of "making government smaller" or "cutting waste, fraud, and abuse."

How many right wing candidates have won calling for the SPECIFIC repeal of any items in the long list above? A few. Repealing the Department of Education has come of now and then. But how many candidates have won calling for an end to what the Department of Education actually does? That is: end all federal student loans and grants?

Who calls for ending Medicare? Social Security? HUD? Federalization of law enforcement?

Politicians lie less often than advertised. When they are specific, they often follow through. We got school choice and a repeal of Roe v. Wade. Trump attempted to get the Wall built. If he gets reelected and gets a Republican Congress, the Wall will get built. Republican congresscritters are now running on doing something about illegal immigration. This was not the case in 2016.

I don't expect major shrinkage in government. I haven't seen real plans on how to do so coming from the mouths of politicians. I have seen Trump attack Haley for broaching the subject of Social Security cuts. Trump is not very right wing when it comes to size of government.

When they are vague, expect nothing.
