I'm not sure. I'm convinced that the left believes they are the good guys, and that the right is evil - you know, the relentless Trump is a fascist drumbeat. They WANT to believe the right is nazi-level evil because it elevates them. An existential see-saw - the more they demonize the right, the more righteous they become. Down goes the right, up goes the left, justifying their "any means necessary" rhetoric and actions. It is a deeply psychological, self-delusional, existential defense mechanism, justifying their lives, keeping ahead of the Grim Reaper. Example, they want an open border to increase Democrat voters, and because they believe migrants are poor people seeking asylum. They see the hundreds of thousands of convicted illegals as victims seeking a better life, because it doesn't enhance who they want to be. In addition - I consider the left's desire to "fundamentally change America," as Obama said, to be evil and destructive. So am I guilty of what I accuse the left of? (Michael, I know this sounds like psychobabble, there is much more to it, and certainly worthy of discussion).

You make a good case, Fred. Do the leftists believe what they claim or are they lying? I had a brief discussion about it on Chris Hall's Substack. (I came down on the side of "lying.)
