There are a number of reasons that the Founding Fathers didn’t want certain people to vote. One being non property owners. There are always more of them and they can vote away the property of those who own property either with taxes which should be called RENT or out right theft. The other was women being kept from voting. Unfortunately the reason for that was they felt the man was the head of the home and that their wife in secret could nullify his vote.
