U.S. TO IMPORT FREEDOM FROM ARGENTINA
U.S. supply of freedom has been shrinking since the mid-1800s.
In 2021, we reported that the U.S. had become the world's number one exporter of woke Marxism.
At that time, even the U.S. right was exporting leftism “…Republicans and the American political right have also, albeit unwittingly, spread the seeds of socialism not just in Washington, DC, but all across the world.”
James Broughel, "The Unlikely Story of American Regulatory Socialism" Mises Institute (2021)
But in 2024, calls are increasing for the U.S. to begin to import freedom from Argentina.
Following the election of Javier Milei, freedom in Argentina has been growing far faster than expectations. While the size of government has begun to shrink.
“…the libertarian economist has consolidated eighteen government ministries into nine, fired 5,000 government workers…” reported the Cato Institute.
Meanwhile, Barrons reported
The Argentine government in January saw its first monthly budget surplus in nearly 12 years, as new President Javier Milei continues to push for strong spending cuts…
It took Milei just 9 and a half weeks to balance the budget and turn a 1.2 trillion dollar annual deficit into a 400 billion surplus. How? “Milei cut a host of central government agency budgets by 50% while slashing crony contracts and activist handouts,” reported economist Peter St Onge in his Substack.
It is predicted by some Austrian economists that the south American nation will soon be producing high-quality freedom that could be exported to the U.S., where the supply of freedom has been shrinking since the mid-1800s.

Now there’s a trade deficit we could use.
What is scary is how easy it actually is to solve many of our problems... if we wanted to.
