The Central-Banks Evil - Pandora’s Dropbox
Some Substacks like to have meme drops or other unserious diversions on Fridays. Here is Rightful Freedom’s attempt. Cheers,
Rightful Freedom claims to receive communications from people in Greek mythology, as emails and texts, which typically include prompts for generative AI, who seems to understand them eerily well, as you will see. This week’s episode:
Pandora:
Zeus gave to Epimetheus the box confining all the evils that might afflict mortals. Pandora, Epimetheus' young wife, became curious about the box, and when she opened it, the evils flew out — strife, disease, hatred, death, madness, violence, ageing, greed, jealousy, and all the rest — to beset humanity from that time onward.
Pandora became immortal, and now dwells in the Greek Mythology Afterlife. Alone. Except for Cassandra.
Cassandra:
Cassandra was the most beautiful of the daughters of Priam, king of Troy. The god Apollo fell in love with her and, in return for the promise of her favors, gave her the gift of true prophecy. But Cassandra went back on her promise and spurned the god's advances. Apollo could not take back his gift, so he cursed Cassandra that no one would believe her prophecies.
Now, Pandora, with her box, and Cassandra, with her visions of the future, find themselves in the Greek Mythological Afterlife where, like Tantalus in his pool, Sisyphus and his boulder, and Prometheus (Pandora's brother-in-law) with his liver-eating eagle, they seem fated to dwell forever, in an endless loop.
Let’s see what they’re up to this week.
[AI Prompt: “Pandora finds herself in a quandary about opening the box.”]
One day Pandora has an overwhelming feeling that there is something in the box. She knows she's not supposed to open it anymore. But maybe this time it's something good.
Because when she first opened the box, all those centuries ago, after all the evils were released, the last thing left in the box was “HOPE”. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt to just have a peek.
[AI prompt: “Pandora is unpleasantly shocked to see that she has let loose a new evil to plague humanity, photo”.]
[Pandora:] Oh no! Another evil! What’s Cassandra going to say!!??
[AI prompt: “Pandora finds Cassandra, who is appalled that Pandora has done it again, photo”.]
[Pandora:] I know I know. I’m sorry I opened it again. But what can I do now?
[Cassandra:] What exactly is this new evil, Pandora? What’s it called?
[Pandora:] It’s something called “CENTRAL BANKS”
What's a bank?
[Cassandra.] A bank is… It’s… It's a big building that has columns in front and it looks sort of like... like the Parthenon. But with a drive thru. And inside they have money. And… [her words trail off…]
[Pandora:] You don’t actually know what a bank is either, do you Cassandra?
Cassandra. Of course I do. It’s a kind of — Wait! I’m getting… Whoa! Oh NO!!!
[AI Prompt: “Cassandra sees a vision of the future of central banks.”]
[Pandora:] Cassie! Cassie, are you okay?
[Cassandra:] It’s bad, Pandy. Really bad. These central banks are a tragedy.
I had a vision, a prophecy. Of coming disasters caused by the central banks, it’s bad! Inflation! Fiat money printing!! Out of control federal borrowing!!! These central banks are some bad… bad…
[Pandora:] Bad motherbankers?
[Cassandra:] Yes! Bad motherbanking motherbankers! Pandora, I must warn Earth people about them. Before it's too late. Because what I've seen in this prophecy. Man, it's bad. Real bad. This Fed thing, A nightmare!
[Pandora:] Wait a second. Did you say “warn” them? You know what happens when you try to do that, Cassandra. Due to the curse of Apollo, who cannot die, they will never believe what you say. Your prophecies are always true, but are fated never to be believed. You know that. And you know what happens. You get so depressed. I hate to see you go through that again. Let's just forget it.
[Cassandra] That won't happen this time, Pandy. Not again. Of all the evils that you have let out of that stupid box, this is one of the very worst ones. This time the people down there will believe me, They have to.
[Pandora, somewhat offended by the “stupid box” comment:] Okay. Do what you want. But don't say I didn't warn you.
[Cassandra:] Can you get do the ritual to open a link to 1667, Pandy?
[Pandora:] Why then?
[Cassandra:] That's just before the Swedish central bank is invented. It's just the first one. Then the British start the Bank of England in 1694. From then just about all the big governments have to have a central bank.
[Pandora:] So Central Banks becomes a fad?
[Cassandra:] No, it becomes a way for governments to control the money and steal from the people. All governments love that. The United States had three of these central banks. They had sense enough to close the first two, but the third one is the killer. It gives the government regulators total control of the money, and the power to print any amount of it. And that gives to the politicians and government regulators the power to steal trillions. And to distribute trillions to leftist government and quasi government institutions and organizations, even to foreign government regulators. It’s called wealth redistribution. Or at least that’s what Karl Marx called it.
What it amounts to is that the government creates money out of nothing. And lends it to people and even other countries. But the amount of money lent is actually too big to be repaid. It's far too much. It's like $200,000 for each tax paying American.
[Pandora:] Wow. I see the problem. To pay that back, everybody would have to sell their house. And if everybody was selling their houses, who would buy the houses? “Create money out of nothing”? How is that even possible?
[Cassandra:] The Treasury Department borrows money and gives it to the Fed. Or the Fed borrows money and gives it to the Treasury Department. It’s all both ridiculously hard to understand and perfectly simple. GoverFed creates money by lending money they don’t have. The complicated jargon is just for money laundering purposes. They make it complicated so the people can't really see what's going on.
[Pandora:] And what’s really going on is…?
[Cassandra:] Counterfeiting.
[Pandora:] I thought money counterfeiting was illegal.
[Cassandra:] It is. And so is money laundering, if the public does it. An ordinary citizen can get put in a federal prison for taking their own money out of their own bank account. “Structured withdrawal”. A crime. But when the people in the government and the central bank do the money laundering, they just get more power.
[Pandora:] Okay, I’ll go get the ritual started. I don’t know if they will believe you this time, but this motherbanking “Central Banking” crap needs to be stopped.
[AI Prompt: “Later that day, Pandora rushes to record her prophecy on a scroll, which she throws into the sea, to be collected by the goddess Helle, servant of Poseidon and sent thence to earth by the mythological communications system, photo”]
…
Many years pass. On earth. In the Greek afterlife, it’s early the next morning.
[AI Prompt: “Cassandra and Pandora go down to the beach of the Greek Mythological Afterlife Hellespont to learn what happened with the prophecy and warning, photo”]
(You, of course, already know.)
[Cassandra:] They completely ignored me, Pan. Combining a bank with the central government enables even more evils than I saw in my vision. These freaking evils are getting out of hand, Pandy. It’s crazy down there. Look at these memes and graphs. The central banks have financed and enabled every kind of evil from horrible wars to a Pandora’s box, as it were, of kinds of government overreach and mismanagement.
[AI Prompt: “Cassandra begins to show screen-grab printouts to Pandora.”]
[Pandora:] Who’s this guy?
[Cassandra:] They didn’t believe him, either. Pandora, I don’t know how many more evils they can take. You’ve got to stop opening that damn box!
[Pandora:] I know.
[Cassandra:] I’m serious!
[Pandora:]
I know. I’ll stop. I won’t open it again ever. I promise.
[Pandora:]
Uh, Cassandra? There's something I need to talk to you about.
[Cassandra:] What?
[Pandora:] Remember that “Central Bank” evil?
[Cassandra:] How could I forget.
[Pandora:] Well, I shut the box so quickly after the central bank thing got out. That…
[Cassandra:] That what?
[Pandora:] Well, I didn't realize it, but there was something else left in there. I was walking past the box and I thought I heard something in there buzzing around, and… well…
[Cassandra:] Ohh Pandy! You didn't open that box again, did you!?
[Pandora:] Well, I had to see what it was.
[Cassandra:] What was it?
[Will Cassandra try to warn Earth of the new evil “Central Bank Digital Currency”? Will Pandora’s curiosity get the best of her again? What new evils might emerge in that box to plague humanity? We will have to wait and see, since the future is not certain for us mortals, we who do not dwell in the Greek Mythology Afterlife.
Very creative!!! Better than memes...
Outstanding!
