Are Millennials Whining Again?

No, they are right. And we have a problem.

Before answering questions about whether or not the millennials are whining, let's ask and answer a different question (or what seems to be a different question):

Do government programs really have effects?

One of leftists’ big claims is that government policies have positive effects. The way to solve society’s problems is to pass more laws and create more government agencies. Government policymakers know how to solve our problems. What if it's not true?

What if the truth is that most government intervention in our institutions and lives causes problems, while failing to solve problems that programs and policies were created to fix?

Which is true?

 ○ Most government programs solve the problems that they were created to solve.

 ○ Most government programs do not solve the problems that they were created to solve and simply waste money.

 ○ Most government programs do not solve the problems that they were created to solve and not only waste money, but cause damage to our society.

In the US, since the 1960s, a vast effort has been made by the federal government in the area then called “civil rights”. And that effort increased over time. Added to the civil rights programs were affirmative action programs. Added to the affirmative action programs were DEI programs. Thousands of government laws, programs, and agencies were created in the process, at an ever-increasing pace. Billions of dollars were spent, and that turned into hundreds of billions of dollars spent. What was the effect of all this effort?

Was racism eradicated? Leftists say that racism is now worse than ever. It's systemic. All white people are racists now. So no, the government's massive, interminable “civil rights” programs did not solve the problem. They may have made it worse. But the media never reports the story, “Failed Government Civil Rights Programs Were a Waste.” The leftist mass media will never report the truth that most government policies and programs fail, and do more harm than good.

Those massive, decades-long efforts to discriminate against white people, and to favor people of color, to make up for past discrimination by the former against the latter: Did all those government programs and policies have any effect?

Consider this fact:

By age 27, white people who were born to poor parents in the Midwest in 1992 were worse off than the people of the same age who were born in 1978.

That is 2024 data from the U.S. Census Bureau. 

To help Biden’s re-election campaign, the mass media reported big job gains for the U.S in 2023. But it wasn't true. The media was playing the statistics. In reality, U.S. job creation flat-lined in 2023 and the first half of 2024, and the few jobs that were created were mostly part time jobs, not full time jobs.

Read it again: “By age 27, white people who were born to poor parents in the Midwest in 1992 were worse off than the people of the same age who were born in 1978.”

Non-poor people, i.e. elites in particular, did okay apparently. But what effect did the decades-long government-decreed discrimination against most white Americans, in jobs, college admissions, and other areas of life have?  To crush the economic realities of white Millennials, to the point that they were worse off than Gen X or Boomers? Yes, if you believe that government Affirmative Action and DEI programs did have an effect. And how could sixty years of Civil-Right/Affirmative-action/DEI intervention in our institutions and lives not have had any effect?

As we wrote about in “Birthquake!!! What You Need to Know Depopuclypse Now?” and elsewhere, leftists created the “Population Explosion Crisis” claim that more babies being born would cause mass starvation and the end of humanity.

Leftists used the “Population Explosion Crisis” claim to call for massive government anti-population progams in the U.S, and the rest and the world also, to be implemented as population control by the United Nations.

But now that humanity is faced with a future of worldwide depopulation, the mass media never suggests that decades of government depopulation programs, demanded by the mass media, had any effect.

It’s the media’s practice:

When the latest government program or policy does massive damage, then the media either:

- pretends that the damage didn’t happen; i.e. refuses to report it

- or the media claims that the damage was caused not by the government programs or policies, but rather by the American people having too much freedom

And the fix for the damage is more government control of our institutions and our lives.

And maybe the worst thing is that American people of color themselves were also made worse off by all the government intervention and discriminatory policies, as Thomas Sowell and other writers have shown. The only people who were really made better off by the leftist policies were the leftist elites, and the government regulators and politicians who got richer and more powerful as government got bigger and intervened in our lives more.

Conclusion: Why This is Important!

It’s important because of the true answer to this question:

If most of the policies, laws, programs and agencies created by the federal government waste $trillions and do more harm than good, then why do we have so many of them? And more and more of them every year?

It’s because most leftists understand all this very well. They aren’t stupid. They aren’t well-meaning fools. They are self-serving, lying hypocrites.

They know that they can use those government programs — the control that the government has — to transfer wealth to themselves. The elite Millennials are not poor. The elite Millennials are doing quite well financially, even though, being leftists, they are mostly unproductive parasites. They get wealthy via Cantillon money taken from productive Americans and distributed to the leftist elites, via the U.S. government. So the more programs, policies, and control that the government creates, the better off the leftists will be. They understand that very well, and they don’t care how much the government overreach hurts the rest of society.

The United States no longer functions or is organized as a rule-of-law republic. It is a de facto kleptocracy. The question is, what are we going to do about it? We hope to discuss answers to that soon.
